Name: Daniel Kroll
- What do you do for a living?
At the moment I work for two different companies. I do Medical Equipment Sales with Rehab Medical and I am also a Corporate Trainer for a Directv Retailer. If you are looking into getting set up I am your guy.
- Tell us your story of how you came to do CrossFit and how long have you been doing it (at 1976 and/or others)?
I started watching the CrossFit games on ESPN in 2014 and started to go to a few different gyms here and there. In February 2015 I found CrossFit 1976 and I’ve never looked back.
- What are some of the successes you’ve experienced?
One of the coolest successes I’ve experienced is winning the competition with Tim Sutton at CrossFit The Point
- What are your current goals?
At the moment my main goal is dropping my body weight to 195 (25 more lbs to go). After that I want to get more consistent with all the tougher movements like muscle ups, hand stand walks and pistols.
- What is your favorite movement/exercise?
Before CrossFit I was the dumbbell guy you see at the gym and never picked up a barbell. I love anything with a barbell!!
- What keeps you motivated?
One of my favorite things about CrossFit is that there is always a next step, whether it’s getting a PR on your clean or doing a pullup for the first time. I love trying to hit that next PR or getting a movement I’ve never done before!
- Any tips or advice for a CrossFit 1976 newbie?
Realize that we were all newbies at one point. It’s all about doing the very best you can and taking your own path at your own pace. We will be by your side to cheer you on along the way. Take it ones step at a time!
- If you could have a super power what would it be and why?
To be able to teleport anywhere in the world at the snap of a finger. I hate flying and driving long distances. Being able to go from the slopes in Utah to a beach in Thailand would be the best.
